Seaman’s Church Institute—Collection for Ditty Bags

All around the world the pandemic has led to suffering and tragedy, and crew members of cargo ships are in a vulnerable position. Each year our Social Ministry team collects items for their Ditty Bags and this year they are especially needed. Contributions are currently being accepted, Oct. - Jan. 31. If you wish to help, place your contributions in the barrel located in the Narthex. They are asking for the following items:

Ditty bag wish list:

  • Hats and scarves in dark colors

  • Work socks, work gloves

  • Chap Stick 

  • Nail clippers

  • Razors

  • Shaving cream

  • Playing cards

  • Shampoo

  • Hand lotion

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste

  • Deodorant

  • Comb

  • Pens and writing paper

  • Mini sewing kit

  • Hard or boxed candy, gum, cough drops
