Want some peace from a chaotic world? Our Lenten services will offer you grounding in the Word, show you a way to walk in the way of Jesus, and help to settle your inner being.
This service, offered In-house and live-streamed on our Facebook page , is offered on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm. during Lent. This year we are offering Holden Evening Prayer sung antiphonally from the choir loft and chancel. The services will also include the lectionary readings from the previous Sunday and a message from one of the pastors.
We invite you to experience God’s grace in this special service where God illuminates our darkest places and fills us with joy. And remember, God always loves you!
As a reminder, the following social distancing protocols will be in place during each in-person Lenten service:
Registration - Members will be required to register for the Lenten services. Registration will close once we reach capacity or Tuesday morning at 9am, whichever comes first. Capacity, in order to maintain 6 feet between households, is 36 households. Seating will only be offered in the Nave.
Masks will be required for all individuals over the age of 2 while in the church building and during the service.
Seating - Everyone will be required to enter from the center aisle so that the ushers can confirm attendance for contact tracing. Members will be able to seat themselves at available seats which will be marked with an X.
There will be no congregation singing during the service. Hymns will be sung by a designated person(s).
Offering - The offering plate will not be passed. The plate will be sat on a table near the entrance to the Nave and the entrance to Fellowship Hall for individuals to give their offering as they enter or exit.
There will be no passing of the peace during the service.
Dismissal - Once the service is over, the ushers will begin dismissing attendees by row, starting in the back of the church, in order to provide enough distance between households exiting the building. If you wish to have conversations with other attendees, please do so outside the building.
Bathrooms - The bathrooms near the Nave will be available before, during and after the service. They will be limited to one household at a time.
