This week the second attribute of Lent—sacrifice—will be highlighted in the dialogue. There are many in the Scripture who made sacrifices for God and his purposes. Two women—Hannah and Mary, the mother of Christ—are today’s examples of sacrifice—each in her own way. The setting is a garden.
