At the Annual Meeting on February 14, 2021, Council was directed to review relocation options again in light of the pandemic and report back to the congregation within six months.
In order to provide an update on the relocation options and the transition process, I call the following special congregation meeting.
A special congregation meeting will be held on
Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 11:15am in the Nave
following the single service at 10am.
Members will have two ways to participate in the annual meeting:
In-Person – Members will be able to attend the meeting in-person in the Nave
Virtually – Members will be able to attend the meeting virtually using any device that supports Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed on Monday, August 2, 2021.
The quorum for the meeting will be determined by counting all members that participate in-person and virtually.
During this special congregation meeting, the only items that will be discussed are the relocation options, long-term capital recommendations and transition process. No other business may be conducted at the meeting.
Council will share the additional information that has been gathered about the relocation options with the congregation by Monday, August 2nd so that members can review it before the meeting. During the meeting, there will be a limited period of time to answer any questions.
During the meeting, the congregation will also receive an update about the Transition Process. To date, we have focused on gathering information for the Ministry Site Profile. As the Visioning Team diligently works to finalize that Profile, we will discuss what happens once the Profile is submitted to the Synod.
I would encourage all voting members of the congregation to attend this special congregation meeting so that we can get an accurate representation of the congregation’s opinion on the building and transition process. The meeting should not last more than an hour.
Yours in Christ,
Lori Donahue
