We are excited to be able to begin offering a socially distanced in-person worship service in our nave and fellowship hall, at 10am. This week, Dec. 27, will be Pr. Carlson’s last service with us.
The following social distancing protocols will be in place:
Registration - Members will be required to register for the service each week. Registration will open on Monday mornings at 9am when an email will be sent with the registration link. Registration will close once we reach capacity or Friday afternoon at 3pm, whichever comes first. Capacity, in order to maintain 6 feet between households in 36 households.
Masks will be required for all individuals over the age of 2 while in the church building and during the service.
Seating - Members will be required to enter from the center aisle so that the ushers can confirm attendance for contact tracing. Members will be able to seat themselves at available seats which will be marked with an X and bulletins will be placed at those seats.
There will be no congregation singing during the service. Hymns will be sung by a designated person(s).
Offering - The offering plate will not be passed. The plate will be sat on a table next to the AV desk for members to drop their offering as they enter or exit.
There will be no passing of the peace.
Communion - Communion will be offered on the last Sunday of each month. On a Sunday when communion is offered, the prepackaged communion kits will be distributed by the ushers as members enter the service. A trash can will be provided at the exit.
Dismissal - Once the service is over, the ushers will begin dismissing attendees by row, starting in the back of the church, in order to provide enough distance between households exiting. Any members who wish to have conversations with each other should do so outside.
Bathrooms - The bathrooms near the Nave will be available before, during and after the service. They will be limited to one household at a time.
