With” grilling” season over CYC is reverting to their regular schedule of providing an entrée, vegetable and desert to the poor and homeless in Kensington. A special thanks to those cooks and volunteers that have continued to support this soup kitchen outreach. CYC was very grateful for the financial support during the recently completed “grilling“ season.

October’s soup kitchen outreach will take place on Saturday October 30. The entrée is chicken noodle casserole plus vegetables and brownies or cookies. Registration to provide meals will close when 200 meals are reached. All are welcome to serve the meals provided the volunteer has completed their vaccine protocol. OCTOBER ENTRÉE RECIPE
CHICKEN NOODLE CASSEROLE

4 cups cubed chicken
1lb. medium noodles, cooked & drained
4oz jar pimiento (optional)
1cn. Cream of mushroom soup
I cn. Cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk

Mix soups and milk together and heat until smooth. Add cooked chicken and noodles.
