For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. plans for your welfare and not for

harm, to give you a future with hope. 12  Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I

will hear you. 13  When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart.

This line strikes me as a line written fo this exact time in our lives. We are anxious about our

time here at Good Shepherd. We are in a time of transition, we don’t know what our future will

hold. We have many questions and worries. But God promises us a future with hope. God

promises that when we search for God, we will find God, if we seek God with all our heart.

And the same can be said for the time of transition around us. We are still in this time of

pandemic and do not know when we will be able to come to a time of normalcy. Search for God

and find God. We are in a time of transition in our country. Today is the very day when a new

administration is taking office. We do not know what the future will bring there either. We have

many reasons to be anxious right now.
